Taylor Rumble joins CLA as Equal Justice Works Fellow

We are excited to share Taylor Rumble has joined our team as our Equal Justice Works Fellow! Taylor will take the lead in expanding Housing Court to Berkeley and Dorchester Counties. To learn more about our partnership with Equal Justice Works, please visit here.

Taylor grew up in Minnesota where she founded a nonprofit that serves animals and their families through various programs. Taylor attended law school where she was selected to participate in the first Homeless Justice Project Clinic which furthered her desire to use a legal career to advocate for others.  While in school, Taylor’s work was published in Resolved: Journal of Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Taylor served in leadership roles for the Child Advocacy & Family Law Society and the Environmental Law Society and was a member of the Presidential Scholars Program through the Medical University of South Carolina. Taylor became a volunteer Guardian ad Litem and after seeing how great the need was, She also became a foster parent during law school to further help children and their families. Taylor’s enthusiasm for advocating for others led her to the Equal Justice Works Fellowship position at Charleston Legal Access.

In her free time, you can find her out in nature with her wonderful dogs.

Fun fact about Taylor: She traveled to Bogota Colombia and saw Tequendama Falls. She also traveled in a camper van through the Mighty 5 National Parks in Utah where she felt lucky to have such a unique and private view of Delicate Arch during a storm.
