Justice in Action: Debra’s Story

When two newborn twins needed a safe home, their great-grandmother, Debra Parker, didn’t hesitate. She stepped in and never looked back. But love alone wasn’t enough to secure their future. Through Charleston Legal Access’ partnership with HALOS, Debra was able to access the legal support she needed to make her family official. Her story is a powerful reminder that when compassion meets access to justice, lives are changed for generations.
